Academic CORNEA / External Disease Faculty Position – Fellowship Trained Cornea Surgeon Needed for Teaching Hospital.

An acclaimed University teaching center in the Southwest is seeking a fellowship-trained Corneal Specialist for an immediate opening. This is the only organization in the region that offers full-service ophthalmology care with fellowship-trained physicians in every subspecialty. This is a Level I trauma center and teaching hospital.

Primary duties include:

  • Management of medical and surgical corneal cases.
  • Management of complex anterior segment cases.
  • Cataract surgery.
  • Teaching & mentoring young ophthalmology residents in training.

A Normal Work Week:
Patient Encounters: 30 per day with add-ons.
Surgeries Per Week:  1 full day of surgery per week performing 10 to 16 surgeries weekly including cataracts and corneal transplants.
