Our practice is recruiting a Board-Certified Pediatric Ophthalmologist. We are an independent, private practice looking to bolster our unified team.
The Practice:
We are a pediatric ophthalmology and optometry practice providing comprehensive eye care for children. We’ve done this for more than 18 years and our patients love us! We have an outstanding reputation in our community as recognized by readers of Tulsa Kids Magazine as the Family Favorite 2 years running. Great mentoring is available for young doctors as we regularly take in local residents for a week at a time. We get 200-275 patient encounters per week with about 100 surgeries per year. These are performed in a nearby hospital owned ASC, which is just minutes away from office. Surgeries include eye muscle revisions/amblyopia surgeries, NLDO probe/stent/lacricath, and chalazion removals.
Office:
- 1 MD, 2 Full Time ODs, 1 Part Time OD
- 11 lanes (6 for young children, 5 for older children/adults)
- Full in-house Optical Dispensary (large selection of frames for children) -- With In-house Edging Lab
- 9,000 sq feet (full remodel in 2016)
- Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
- PM system: Nextech’s Practice+
- EHR system: Nextech’s IntellechartPro
Tulsa, OK:
Tulsa is a city in Northeastern Oklahoma with a metro population of 1,023,988. It is seated on the mother road, Route 66, with only a 1.5 hour drive to Oklahoma City, 2 hour drive to Fayetteville, Arkansas, a 4 hour drive to Dallas, and and a 4 hour drive to Kansas City. Our city is home to 2 private universities with great academic and sport programs: The University of Tulsa, and Oral Roberts University. There are great public school and Christian private schools within 10 miles of the practice. There is a thriving downtown scene with many unique events, several museums, concert/theatre venues, fine dining, and the BOK arena for both concert and sporting events. In addition, Tulsa is home to the best city park in the nation, The Gathering Place. All this paired with a low cost of living. It is worth it to live on Tulsa time!
